Many of you who drive to or from the west side of Cincinnati have probably noticed the traffic changes due to the Mill Creek I-75 expressway construction. The construction has significantly increased traffic on many of our streets. In particular Clifton Hills Avenue has seen a very large increase in motorists using the residential street as a shortcut to Clifton and UC. Residents of the street and Depaul Cristo Rey school administration approached CTM to ask the traffic be addressed. They cited major concerns with pedestrian safety and quality of life due to the significant traffic volume increase.
Working with the City of Cincinnati traffic division, residents and CTM discussed many options and ultimately came up with the proposal to limit traffic to west bound only on Clifton Hills Avenue as it approaches Central Parkway. The map above suggests some alternative routes to reach the Clifton and UC area. We hope that motorists will be respectful of the wishes of the residents, CTM, and Depaul Cristo Rey and support this effort to improve the safety of pedestrians and quality of life.
