Katie Kalafut

My name is Katie Kalafut and I have lived in Clifton with my husband, two children, our cat and dog, for the past six years. My children attend the Clifton Area Neighborhood School (CANS). By day, I am a Professor, teaching and engaging in animal behavior research at the Cincinnati Zoo. I am a member of the CTM’s Pedestrian Safety Committee, and the CANS community. I am interested in serving as CTM’s liaison to the community schools in Clifton. I am well suited for this position, as I am already engaged in the CANS community, and have many family friends and neighbors attending Fairview. These schools have a great existing relationship, and I think that a solid connection with CTM would allow for further collaboration, better communication between Clifton and its schools, as well as more engagement among all the members of the Clifton Community.

Jules Rosen

Jules Rosen previously served as a trustee on the CUF Neighborhood Association, where he championed better sidewalk connectivity and improved street sweeping efforts. He also served on the board of Spring in Our Steps and was a member of the CANS Advisory Group during the inception of the new school. In a professional capacity, he is an architect at PWWG Architects. Jules is an advocate for adaptive reuse and sustainability and has spoken before city council in defense of bike infrastructure. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters, running, swimming, and landscaping.

Linda Fatheree

After moving to Cincinnati in 1986, I lived in several different neighborhoods until 2006, when I finally found my forever home just off Ludlow Avenue in Clifton.

Once I retired from a very demanding advertising/marketing career, I began finding ways to get involved in this diverse community. Especially over the past six years, I’ve joined other volunteers for a variety of projects from graffiti clean-up to seasonal maintenance of the flower pots along Ludlow to assisting with cleanup and installation of the benches and murals on Telford. My primary volunteer effort has been assisting with production and distribution of the Clifton Chronicle by writing articles, editing/proofreading each issue, and delivering copies to Clifton area businesses. I believe that joining the Board of Trustees of Clifton Town Meeting would allow me to assume a more active role in taking care of this truly unique neighborhood.

Joshua Sanders

My name is Josh and I live in Clifton with my wife Ash in a beautiful historic home. I grew up in Maineville and went to UC for college, where I met my wife. I fell in love with Clifton, it's diverse food, and culture. I have fond memories of studying at Sitwells and catching a late-night movie at the Esquire. Professionally, I'm a Software Engineer. I also own and manage a rental property out of state. I've been seeking ways to make a difference in my community and joining the Clifton Board of Trustees seems like a perfect way to do exactly that!

Patrick Minges

I have lived and worked in Clifton for the past 10 years and am raising 3 young kids in our beautiful neighborhood. I am interested in pedestrian and biker safety as well as strong schools. I am interested in pedestrian safety and maintaining a safe and walkable community.

Amanda Kuhn

I have lived in Clifton for many years and feel incredibly fortunate to call this neighborhood home. My husband and I are raising our family here, and I have always appreciated what makes Clifton unique—its history, architecture, diversity, local businesses, schools, and strong sense of community. My background is in event planning, hospitality, and design, and I enjoy bringing people together, organizing projects, and finding creative, practical ways to make things better. Over the years, I have been involved in my children’s schools and various community activities, and I’m at a point where I would love to become more involved in the neighborhood itself. I’m interested in participating in Clifton Town Meeting because I care about preserving what makes Clifton special while also helping it continue to grow and thrive. I would bring energy, creativity, a collaborative spirit, and a genuine willingness to listen, learn, and contribute.

Jay Madden is a second-year Master of Community Planning student at UC and a co-op at Hamilton County Community Planning. He holds a degree from The Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University and spent three years teaching English in Spain before making Clifton his home. Jay moved to Clifton for its tight-knit community, historic character, and transit access.

In his free time, he can be found reading on the Clifton Library porch or catching up with friends at Alive & Well.

Blake Madden

I am an urban planner by day. I want to take the experience I’ve gained in this field to improve Clifton wherever I can. With 4 major bus routes on Ludlow Avenue, Clifton acts as an essential node to Cincinnati’s transit system. As your trustee, I want to continue refining and maximizing our bus system for Clifton residents, notably with Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), which is scheduled to come to our neighborhood in 2028.

Aside from transit, I want to use my voice and my vote to ensure the unique character Clifton provides remains as is, while making some improvements along the way. I want to preserve our green space, retain and assist our businesses, host community events aimed at connecting our residents, and help restore Clifton Market to its former success. As a renter, I want to support citywide policy to keep our neighborhood affordable to residents at various phases of life. I believe that as a trustee of your town meeting, I can conversate and listen to you to make sure your valuable opinions are heard and taken into consideration whenever I cast my vote.
